"STRENGTHENING Community Capacity for Providing Access to and Utilization of HIV PREVENTION Services"

The Metropolitan Interdenominational Church Technical Assistance Network (MICTAN), is the national clergy-led capacity building program of the First Response Center.MICTAN provides culturally competent capacity building assistance to faithh organizations, health departments, CBO's and social/civic organizations to increase access to and utilization of HIV/AIDS prevention services.  

MICTAN’s capacity building services include:

  • Trainings to build capacity
  • Technical services
  • Skills building
  • Technical consultation

What is Technical Assistance?

Providing information, consultation and ongoing training to improve the delivery and effectiveness of HIV/AIDS prevention services.

  3. Workshops
  4. Participation in national events via sermons, prayers, services, and training

We provide capacity building services to:

  • Health Departments and service providers
  • Churches, denominations, and other faith based organizations
